Morton has already begun the testing and hiring process to hire full-time firefighters.

HOW TO APPLY:

  • The Village of Morton offers premier paramedic services, with Advanced Life Support accredited staff.  There are two ambulances on duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week. 
  • Morton now hires EMT-Basics as Paramedic Trainees who must complete their Paramedic certification before completing their probation. 
  • If you are interested in applying for a paramedic position with the Village of Morton, please complete the EMS System Agency Application and return it along with a resume and cover letter to Chief Justin Hale at jhale@morton-il.gov

Pre-Employment Paramedic Requirements

-Application/resume submission and interview process

-Successful completion of background check

-Pass physical, drug screen, and lifting/flexibility assessment

-Carle Health EMS System Entry

-Must hold a valid Drivers License

-Must have Illinois EMT-Basic, Paramedic or NREMT-P license

-Paramedics have an IMRF Pension with optional 457
